Marcello Hernández, a prominent actor from the sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live,” recently took the opportunity to dispel rumours regarding a supposed romantic involvement with reality television star Paige DeSorbo. During an episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” which aired on 27 July, Hernández addressed the speculation head-on.

The actor, who is known for his role as Domingo on “SNL,” was prompted by a viewer’s question about the swirling cheating allegations. Hernández recounts that he felt compelled to clarify the situation after receiving a text from DeSorbo, in which she mentioned the assertions being made online. “People are saying I cheated on my boyfriend with you,” DeSorbo wrote, to which Hernández responded in disbelief, “LOL, what?” Their lighthearted exchange highlighted the absurdity of the situation, with Hernández jokingly noting that “TikTok wants me to be Domingo, the homewrecking Latino.”

Hernández further shared snippets of their text conversation during the show, in which he explained that the rumour originated from a social media post. Kevin Hart, who appeared alongside Hernández, affirmed the authenticity of the messages, adding that Hernández could have simply categorically denied the claims. Hernández, however, felt that it was important to present “the receipts” to quell any uncertainties.
DeSorbo, aged 33, has experienced her share of scrutiny over her personal life, particularly regarding her relationship with Craig Conover. The couple confirmed their split in December 2024 after a three-year relationship. In earlier remarks made on her “Giggly Squad” podcast, she expressed indifference towards most rumours about her. However, when the allegations regarding Hernández surfaced, she felt the need to clarify her position, stating, “When I first saw that, I died laughing.”
The former “Summer House” star recounted reaching out to Hernández, expressing her concern that the unfounded claims could impact his personal relationships. “I felt weird, I was like, I feel like I have to text Marcello because what if he sees it, what if he has a girlfriend,” she said. Her initial concern quickly turned into amusement when Hernández responded wholeheartedly to the rumours, reflecting a shared sense of humour about the unexpected situation.
Following the confirmation of her breakup with Conover, DeSorbo clarified in subsequent interviews that she is, in fact, moving forward in her personal life. While addressing ongoing speculation about her relationship status during a conversation with PEOPLE, she stated, “I’m seeing someone and I have been for a little bit. It’s just been really nice to not have to talk about it on TV.”
Craig Conover, 37, met DeSorbo during the first season of Bravo’s “Winter House” and has maintained a supportive stance toward her. DeSorbo has publicly expressed her respect and admiration for Conover, remarking, “I think he is one of the best people I have ever met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan of him.”
As for Hernández, he has been linked to architect Ana Amelia Batlle Cabral, with the pair making their public debut at the New York City premiere of “Happy Gilmore 2” in July 2025. As they navigate their respective lives in the public eye, both Hernández and DeSorbo have shown how humour and transparency can be effective tools for handling personal matters amidst the scrutiny of fame.
In the realm of celebrity relationships, the blend of laughter and social media can often lead to misunderstandings. The recent incident serves as a reminder that open communication and a sense of humour can help defuse even the most outrageous allegations. With clarity now established regarding their relationships, it remains to be seen how both stars will continue to engage with their fans while maintaining their privacy.
