Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley has revealed the title and release date of the fourth film in the popular *Haunted Harmony Mysteries* series during an engaging event in Morristown, New Jersey. Announcing the next chapter, titled *Prelude to a Wedding*, Mowry-Housley stated that the film is set to air on 5 September.

The *Haunted Harmony Mysteries* series follows the adventurous escapades of Gethsemane Brown, portrayed by Mowry-Housley, a violinist and former conductor who finds herself delving into crime-solving alongside her spectral roommate, Eamon, played by Risteard Cooper. The upcoming film’s storyline centres around Gethsemane receiving an invitation to perform at a wedding, only to find herself embroiled in the unexpected death of a member of the bridal party.
During the Hallmark Stars Live event on 26 July, Mowry-Housley spoke enthusiastically about her character and the role that music plays in shaping its narrative. “My character gets invited to a wedding because I play the violin,” she explained, highlighting the musical connections that are central to both the story and her personal journey.
Inspired by her character, Mowry-Housley has taken up the violin in real life, sharing her progress with fans through various social media platforms. “Gethsemane inspired me to learn how to play the violin, so I play the violin in real life now,” the 48-year-old actress remarked, emphasising the impact of her role on her personal growth.
The event also showcased Mowry-Housley’s flair for creativity beyond acting. Alongside fellow Hallmark stars Nikki DeLoach, Ashley Williams, Andrew Walker, and Jonathan Bennett, she participated in an improvisation game that added a touch of spontaneity, leading to a unique Hallmark movie moment created on the spot.
Previously, Mowry-Housley has shared glimpses of her journey with the violin. In June 2025, she posted a photograph practicing the instrument, accompanied by an encouraging message about learning new skills at any age. She also produced a YouTube video in February 2024, featuring her playing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” while her daughter, Ariah, sang along, marking a new playful activity in their family.
*Haunted Harmony Mysteries* had its debut in 2023 with the film *Murder in G Major*, introducing audiences to Gethsemane Brown’s unique blend of violin performances and amateur sleuthing in an Irish setting. The series has since continued to captivate viewers, with the second film, *Buried at C*, released in October 2025, followed by *Key to the Castle* in May 2026, both of which star Virgin River alum Marco Grazzini alongside Mowry-Housley.
All three existing films are currently available to stream on Hallmark+. Following *Prelude to a Wedding*, audiences can mark their calendars for its premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT on 5 September, with streaming access granted the following day on Hallmark+.
The Hallmark Stars Live tour will continue into its second week, commencing on 29 July in Reading, Pennsylvania. Fans interested in attending can find further details and ticket information through official channels.
Mowry-Housley’s dedication to her role and her exploration of music adds an inviting layer to the *Haunted Harmony Mysteries* series. As viewers anticipate the upcoming film, the combination of mystery and music promises another entertaining addition to Hallmark’s beloved offerings.
