More than 16,000 EnHomee 9-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold on Walmart’s website are being recalled due to significant safety hazards, including a risk of tip-over that could result in serious injury or even death, particularly among children. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) announced the recall on Thursday, July 23, highlighting the potential dangers if the dressers are not properly anchored to the wall.

The USCPSC has stated that these furniture pieces are unstable and create “tip-over and entrapment hazards.” The distressing potential for injury arises particularly when young children interact with the drawers. Further compounding the concern, the dressers in question do not meet the safety standards mandated by the STURDY Act, which aims to prevent such dangerous incidents.
The EnHomee dressers were available in a selection of four colours—white, brown, grey, and black—and were sold for approximately £80 each on Walmart.com. They feature a metal frame with nine fabric drawers and measure 15.3 inches wide, 27.5 inches tall, and 47.2 inches long, weighing in at approximately 41.3 lbs. However, only units purchased prior to 30 March 2026 are included in this recall.
Consumers who own one of these recalled dressers are urged to cease its use immediately if it has not been anchored to the wall. Moreover, it is recommended that the dressers be placed in a location inaccessible to children until proper disposal can be arranged.
