Women Say Mime Terrorized Them, Stripped to His Underwear and Covered Himself in Cooking Oil

A man in Massachusetts has been charged with criminal harassment after allegedly unsettling multiple women while dressed as a mime. Hernan Asael Villagran Lux, aged 29, faces three counts of criminal harassment in connection with incidents involving female employees of the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Court proceedings revealed troubling allegations against Villagran Lux. Prosecutors assert that he engaged in alarming behaviour, which included stripping down to his underwear and covering his body with cooking oil in front of three women during an encounter on a public trail. According to the Boston 25 News, the women reported feeling increasingly anxious due to Villagran Lux’s behaviour, describing his mannerism as unsettling and “terrifying”.

Villagran Lux has entered a not guilty plea to the charges brought against him. Prosecutor Andrew Mange detailed in court that the women had described numerous encounters with Villagran Lux, where he would stare at them while smiling in a way that they found profoundly disturbing. These reports contributed significantly to the allegations against him, prompting further legal scrutiny.

The incidents took place on the Cochituate Rail Trail in Framingham, a popular area for both walking and cycling. Another resident, Chris Neofotistos, also shared their experience, recalling a moment when Villagran Lux passed them while adorned in his mime attire, which consisted of a top hat, pale face paint reminiscent of a vampire, a black cape, and a cane. Neofotistos described the encounter as unsettling, highlighting the oddness that surrounded Villagran Lux’s public appearances.
