**HGTV Unveils Nostalgic Home Renovation Show ‘Totally 90s House’**
Fans of the 1990s are in for a treat as HGTV prepares to launch its latest series, *Totally 90s House*, set to premiere on 26th August. This exciting new competition programme features a lineup of beloved star figures from the decade, competing to revitalise dated homes associated with that iconic era. Hosted by Jaleel White, known for his role in *Family Matters*, the show promises to deliver both nostalgic memories and innovative design transformations.

The six-episode series will see two teams of notable ’90s celebrities go head-to-head in a creative challenge. Among the star-studded lineup are Brian Austin Green from *Beverly Hills, 90210*, Jodie Sweetin of *Full House*, and Beverley Mitchell from *7th Heaven*. They will face off against a rival team that includes Melissa Joan Hart from *Clarissa Explains It All*, Keshia Knight Pulliam of *The Cosby Show*, and siblings Matthew and Joey Lawrence from *Boy Meets World* and *Blossom*, respectively.

The mission of each team is to locate and renovate homes that reflect the unique style of the 1990s, filled with features such as honey oak cabinets and sponge-painted walls. Each property selected will undergo a complete transformation, modernising its aesthetic while retaining the nostalgic charm that has drawn many to cherish that decade.
In comments about the show, White noted, “Everybody loves the ’90s again. The trends are back, the music is heard everywhere, and children who weren’t even around are now binge-watching the television programmes that shaped our youth.” He continued to highlight the need for revitalising homes still clinging to ’90s designs: “We asked America to show us the homes still living in the past, and the response was incredible.”
Each episode of *Totally 90s House* aims to trigger fond memories by reminding viewers of the many popular shows of the ’90s, while also showcasing the celebrities’ design talents. They will receive support from HGTV renovation specialists, Carter Oosterhouse and Sabrina Soto, who will lend their expertise throughout the renovation process.
The stakes are high, with the winning team not only earning bragging rights but also securing a $25,000 donation to a charity of their choice. This charitable aspect adds an intriguing layer to the competition, encouraging a spirit of teamwork and social responsibility among participants.
In the premiere episode, the teams will embark on a quest to uncover the most quintessential ’90s homes scattered across the country. White will guide them in deciding which properties will serve as the canvas for their renovations. Anticipating the excitement, he plans to send out VHS tapes to both teams, each detailing the first room that will be subject to their transformative efforts.
Throughout the series, an array of guest judges, including 98 Degrees singer Drew Lachey and *Trading Spaces* host Paige Davis, will make appearances to evaluate the renovations completed by the teams. Other notable figures from the design world, such as Jonathan Adler and HGTV personalities like Mina Starsiak Hawk, will also contribute their insights on the transformed spaces.
In conjunction with this new series, HGTV is launching a companion YouTube series titled *HGTV’s House Call: ‘90s Edition*, where viewers will get a peek into the homes of their favourite celebrities from the decade. This supplementary series will provide a deeper insight into each star’s personal design preferences and showcase their homes undergoing necessary projects.
Mark your calendars for the premiere of *Totally 90s House* on 26th August at 9 p.m. ET. For those who grew up in the ’90s or simply feel nostalgic for the era, this show promises to deliver a delightful mix of entertainment, creativity, and a touch of charity. It’s poised to be a celebration of both the aesthetic and cultural influences that defined a generation.
