Kate Gosselin, the former star of the reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8, has recently shared a glimpse of her new life with boyfriend Steve Neild at his rural property, affectionately dubbed the ‘Wild Wild West.’ The couple ventured to this scenic location, which is still a work in progress, along with their two rescue dogs, Koda and Meika.

On 13 July, Gosselin took to TikTok to document their arrival at Neild’s property, posting a nearly two-minute video showcasing their journey along a narrow, winding road enveloped by nature. The 51-year-old wrote in the video caption, “Yee haw! 🤠 We’re finally here!” as the camera panned to reveal a large barn-like house appearing at the end of a gravel pathway.

While Gosselin chose not to disclose the exact whereabouts of Neild’s property, she did provide some context regarding how he became enamoured with the idea of owning a rural home. A comment from a follower on her video noted its resemblance to a previous trip the family took out West, to which Gosselin responded, confirming that Neild fell in love with the area during that memorable journey.

The couple’s connection can be traced back to the earlier seasons of Jon & Kate Plus 8, during which Gosselin and her family undertook several trips across the western United States. A particularly notable episode featured a cross-country adventure where the family journeyed in two RVs from South Dakota to the Grand Canyon, while another memorable outing took place at a dude ranch in Wyoming. It was during these escapades that Gosselin’s sons engaged in cowboy-themed activities such as horseback riding and goat herding.
In a TikTok video leading up to their trip, Gosselin explained that despite the construction work still ongoing at Neild’s property, it has been deemed habitable enough for their temporary stay. The rural home provides an excellent environment for their pets, who can roam freely around the expansive land.
This new chapter in Gosselin’s life began publicly in November last year when she confirmed her long-rumoured relationship with Neild, her former bodyguard. She shared this news through a heartfelt Instagram post wherein she included a slideshow of images featuring Neild alongside a list that highlighted ten things she values, such as her children and pets, as well as her love for travel and wellness.
While the post did not mention Neild’s last name, many observers were quick to point out his striking resemblance to Gosselin’s former bodyguard, which fueled speculation about a possible romance dating back to 2009. At that time, Gosselin had denied any romantic involvement with Neild and labelled the reports as “disgusting.”
Since going public with her relationship, Gosselin has expressed that Neild is someone she has known for a considerable time, indicating a deep and longstanding friendship prior to their romantic connection. Gosselin, a mother of eight, shares six children—twins Mady and Cara, now 25, and sextuplets Aaden, Joel, Alexis, Hannah, Collin, and Leah, aged 21—with her ex-husband Jon Gosselin.
Gosselin’s journey through parenthood and her evolving personal life continues to captivate her followers, and her new venture into country living is yet another chapter in her story. As the couple settles into their rural retreat, fans are likely to remain intrigued by how their relationship develops amidst the backdrop of a serene countryside setting.
