Speaking in an exclusive interview, Webb explained that the decision to pursue cosmetic surgery stemmed from her feelings after hitting the milestone of 50. She described this age as providing her with a sense of “magical permission” to make such a move. “In the last four or five years, I started thinking about it,” she shared, highlighting that prior to reaching her fifties, she perceived herself as “too young” for such procedures.

Webb sought the expertise of Dr. Sarmela Sunder, a plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills, California. Their professional relationship spans over a decade, with Dr. Sunder previously administering Botox and performing an upper blepharoplasty on Webb. Given their long-standing connection, Webb felt confident continuing their collaboration with this more substantial procedure, having discussed the possibility of a facelift for several years.

Dr. Sunder noted that she had advised Webb to consider her lifestyle and emotional readiness before undergoing surgery. “She’s super busy, always travelling, has a ton on her plate,” the surgeon remarked. “If you’re going to do something like this, you really need to allow yourself the investment in time, as well as emotional resources, to fully recover.”
Webb’s decision to proceed with surgery came after experiencing significant weight fluctuations that affected her facial appearance. The natural process of aging, combined with these changes, led to her becoming a candidate for surgical intervention, according to Dr. Sunder.
The surgical procedure took place at Dr. Sunder’s facility, where several interventions were performed. Dr. Sunder explained that a septoplasty was carried out to correct Webb’s nasal septum, and a deep plane lower face and neck lift was performed to enhance the contours of her jawline. Additionally, the surgery involved repositioning separated neck muscles and tightening the area while removing excess skin. An innovative CO2 laser treatment followed, designed to rejuvenate the skin and combat sun damage.
The integration of the CO2 laser treatment is significant, as Dr. Sunder remarked on its role in enhancing the overall results. “You don’t want to rely on one procedure to take care of everything,” she stated. “Laser addresses texture, skin quality, and skin luminosity, which can’t be fixed by a facelift alone.” This nuanced approach represents a more modern understanding of cosmetic surgery and its capabilities.
Following the surgery, Webb described her recovery as largely comfortable, with initial discomfort manifesting as stiffness rather than pain. “Every day would get better and better, so it’s actually a fun transition,” she recalled. With a careful regimen of medication, Webb managed her post-operative experience with a sense of positivity.
Interestingly, Webb chose to keep her surgical plans relatively private, only revealing them to a select group of close friends prior to the operation. As she began to heal, her reappearance in social settings prompted reactions of curiosity among acquaintances. “They’re like, ‘Huh, something is different, but I don’t know what it is,’” she remarked, expressing satisfaction that her results achieved the subtlety she desired.
Now three months post-operation, Webb reflects positively on the outcome, stating that she aimed not to drastically alter her appearance but rather to restore her facial features to their former vitality. “Dr. Sunder really understood that,” she affirmed. “I just wanted my sagging skin and jawline… to be back where it used to be.”
Webb enthusiastically described her refreshed look, stating it feels as though she has a “good filter on.” With newfound confidence, she feels comfortable in her skin and is thrilled with the results of her surgery, embracing this chapter of her life with enthusiasm and positivity.
