Authorities in Arkansas continue to search for Ashlynn Bocksnick and her six-week-old daughter, Lalynn Dream Williams, who have been missing since June 24. The case has garnered significant attention, with local and state agencies dedicating extensive resources to find the pair.

Dardanelle Police Department (DPD) launched its investigation into their disappearance following a call at approximately 2:50 a.m. on June 24, regarding a possible suicidal individual. It was revealed that Bocksnick had left her residence with her child shortly before the police arrived. Concerns about their safety arose due to distressing statements made by Bocksnick prior to her departure. Notably, she left her mobile phone behind, prompting officers to obtain a search warrant for the device, with assistance from the FBI to access any potential evidence that could shed light on the case.
In addition to examining Bocksnick’s phone, authorities also pursued her bank records, which revealed no activity. This raised further concern among investigators regarding her whereabouts. An officer soon issued an alert with a description of the vehicle Bocksnick was driving, which was later discovered parked at a boat ramp in Veteran’s Park, around ten feet from the water’s edge. The vehicle was unoccupied, prompting officers to begin a foot search in the vicinity, however, no immediate leads were found.
Surveillance footage from Dardanelle City Hall showed Bocksnick arriving at the boat ramp, where she appeared to exit her vehicle and briefly return to the passenger side. Authorities believe she picked something up, presumably related to her child. It was initially reported that she was last seen walking towards the water but investigations have since clarified that she did indeed enter the water, with no further sightings recorded thereafter.
As of July 3, search efforts have spanned an astonishing 85 miles from the Dardanelle lock and dam to the Little Rock river bridge. A total of 36 different agencies, including five drone teams, several civilian boats, and canine units, have joined the search, with resources being significantly scaled down by the following Monday due to hazardous conditions.
Crews are facing challenges posed by rising water levels and strong currents, which have raised safety concerns. The DPD reported that visibility underwater is alarmingly low, with dive teams only able to see one to two inches due to debris obstructing their path. To aid ongoing search efforts, the Corps of Engineers agreed to open the gates at Dardanelle Dam, but they also noted that water levels would not return to normal until July 11, at which point the full search operation could resume.
At this time, investigators have stated that foul play is not suspected in the case. Officer Chris Collier of the DPD expressed commitment to the search, affirming, “We’re not quitting. We’re gonna keep going until, hopefully, we find her. We want to find her.”
