A 30-year-old woman from Michigan has been missing for over a month following her purchase of a one-way ticket from Detroit to Miami. Chelsea Bonnell was last seen at a Publix supermarket in Jupiter, Florida, just two days after arriving in the state on 24 May.

Bonnell’s journey to Florida appears to be linked to her job as an exotic dancer in Detroit, where she had informed family members that business at her club had been slow. This prompted her decision to seek work in Florida. Unfortunately, her family has reported that they have not heard from her since her departure.

Michelle Clauw, Bonnell’s mother, shared that her last conversation with her daughter felt unremarkable, stating that Bonnell “seemed okay” at the time. “She had just been working, and it’s not unusual for us to not have a whole lot of contact; maybe two or three weeks sometimes with her schedule at work,” she explained. However, as the weeks went by without any communication, Clauw began to feel increasingly concerned.
The alarm bells really started ringing when Clauw noted how atypical it was for her daughter to go silent for this long. “It’s not like her, and we do fear that she may be with somebody that’s not allowing contact to us because this is just not her,” she told local news outlet WPBF. Clauw has made the effort to travel to West Palm Beach to assist in the search for her daughter.
Surveillance footage has confirmed that Chelsea was last seen alone at the Publix in Jupiter, where she purchased minimal food items, including some lunch meat and a drink, before leaving the store and heading to the parking lot. Following this, on 26 May, Clauw attempted to reach her daughter but received no reply. Initially, she assumed Bonnell might simply be taking a break.
The situation took a troubling turn on 2 June when Bonnell’s debit card was reportedly used at a Dunkin’ Donuts in West Palm Beach. To date, it remains unclear who had accessed her account, as no new information regarding her whereabouts has surfaced since that time.
A missing persons report, issued by the Clinton Township Police Department in Michigan, offers a description of Bonnell, indicating she weighs approximately 160 pounds, has blue eyes, and sports “below shoulder length” blonde hair. Notable tattoos include a spider on her left shoulder and the words “love” and “faith” on her fingers, with “beautiful” inked across the back of her legs.
Clauw is urging anyone with any information regarding Bonnell’s location to reach out to the authorities. She has emphasized her desperation, saying, “I just want her back. I just want to know she’s okay.” Those with tips or knowledge about her situation are encouraged to contact the Clinton Township Police Department at (586) 493-7800 or call 911. As the search continues, Bonnell’s family and friends hold onto hope for her safe return.
