In a charming celebration steeped in romance, actress Hunter King married filmmaker Chris Copier in a picturesque ceremony held at a centuries-old farmhouse in Tuscany, Italy. The couple, known for their laid-back personalities, aimed for an intimate atmosphere and delivered a wedding that was nothing short of a dream, with family-style Italian cuisine and a stunning Millefoglie cake to highlight the festivities.

On June 10, 2023, King, a star of the popular soap opera *The Young and the Restless*, exchanged vows with Copier at La Torre sulla Via Francigena. The wedding was attended by around 40 of their closest friends and family members, marking a significant chapter in their lives together.
King shared with *People* magazine that her time spent in Italy a few years ago greatly influenced their wedding choice. While working on a Hallmark movie, the couple fell in love with the region, particularly after a whimsical train trip to Florence and a visit to the beautiful Tuscan vineyards. “I remember looking at the rolling hills and thinking, ‘We should get married here one day,'” King recalled, reflecting on those enchanting moments that inspired their decision.
The couple emphasised the importance of embracing the natural allure of the Tuscan countryside. Their venue—an exquisite 12th-century farmhouse that has been transformed into a boutique hotel—needed little decoration due to its inherent beauty. “We wanted everything to feel effortless, romantic and lived-in,” they explained. The focus on wildflowers and casual elegance helped create a relaxed setting that felt just right for the occasion.
King expressed a desire for the day to embody the essence of an “intimate dinner party” rather than a traditional wedding. “Cozy, romantic, garden party vibes with incredible food, great conversation and everyone we love gathered around one table. That’s exactly how it felt,” she said, perfectly capturing the spirit of the celebration.
Food was a central theme for the day, with the couple making it clear that it was a non-negotiable aspect of their wedding. “We served family-style Italian food, which felt perfect for the atmosphere we wanted to create. The night before, we had a pizza party where the chef made what felt like every pizza imaginable, and every single one was incredible,” King described with enthusiasm. The wedding feast included grazing boards, handmade pastas, and Florentine steak, ensuring that guests enjoyed a decadent dining experience.
For her wedding attire, King opted for a timeless Sarah Seven gown found at a boutique in Los Angeles, complemented by stunning jewellery from Brilliant Earth. She wanted a dress that was not only elegant but also reflective of her personal style. “I wanted to feel elegant while still feeling like myself,” she stated, and upon wearing the dress, she knew it was the one.
The ceremony was made particularly special by the presence of King’s best friend, David, who officiated the event. Guests were captivated by his ability to move seamlessly between humour and emotion. King described the moment she heard Copier’s vows as unforgettable, conveying the depth of their bond. “There wasn’t a dry eye anywhere,” she added.
An Italian wedding cake known as Millefoglie, which translates to “a thousand layers”, provided a sweet ending to the meal. The couple had the pleasure of completing the decoration of the cake in front of their guests, adding cream, berries, and powdered sugar. “One of my favourite moments was getting to finish decorating it ourselves… It felt absolutely magical,” King reflected. The evening closed with festive celebrations, as a live band transitioned to a DJ to energise the dance floor.
Looking back on the event, King described the entire experience as a “dream come true,” expressing contentment with the wedding’s flow. “At the end of the day, I could have married Chris in a courthouse, in a field, or in our living room, and it still would have been perfect because it meant marrying him,” she shared. Notably, she also highlighted her profound feelings for Copier, stating that marrying him felt like “coming home.”
As the couple embarks on their journey as newlyweds, King emphasises the importance of cherishing these early moments together. “We’ve waited so long for this season of life, and I want to stay in this little newlywed bubble for as long as possible,” she affirmed. Reflecting on the day, one moment stood out for King: walking back down the aisle hand-in-hand with her husband while being surrounded by supportive family and friends. “I’ve never felt happier,” she concluded, illustrating the joy that radiated throughout their special day.
With their wedding plans expertly executed by Klara Bebono of Bebono Weddings and an array of talented vendors contributing to the celebrations, Hunter King and Chris Copier have certainly begun their marriage on a high note, full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
