Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has launched a new product under her lifestyle brand, As Ever, while enjoying a family holiday in Europe. The latest addition, unveiled on Tuesday, 30 June, is Lavender Honey, which the company describes on its Instagram page as a “floral gift of summer” known for its “delicate warmth.”

The product reflects Markle’s personal passion for beekeeping, a hobby she has pursued at the family home in Montecito, California, where she and Prince Harry reside with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. As part of the As Ever product line, Lavender Honey joins the existing Orange Blossom Honey, both of which are available in 9 oz jars, perfect for fans eager to indulge in these floral flavours. The brand also offers other varieties, including wildflower and sage honey, allowing customers a range of sweet options.

In a recent episode of her Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” the Duchess shared her enthusiasm for beekeeping, highlighting the calming experience it offers. She pointed out that working with the bees serves as a reminder to embrace challenges. “I’ve got good vibes,” Markle stated, expressing the joy of being connected to nature through her beekeeping activities.
While the Sussex family is currently basking in the European sun, plans are afoot for a visit back to the UK in July. This anticipated trip coincides with a series of engagements related to the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, which will be hosted in Birmingham. The family’s itinerary, however, has been complicated by ongoing concerns regarding their security while in the UK.
In a recent statement, Prince Harry’s spokesperson clarified that while police protection would be provided during their time on royal grounds, similar security measures would not extend to their broader activities. “Prince Harry’s programme in the United Kingdom includes both public and private engagements across the country. Safe accommodation is only one element of an effective protective security plan because risk follows the person, not the place,” the spokesperson remarked.
The tensions surrounding the family’s security are not new. Following their decision to step back from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan lost the protection provided to them as working members of the royal family. The Duke has previously expressed the difficulty of wanting to bring his children to the UK while navigating these ongoing security issues, indicating a profound sense of loss regarding his connection to his home country.
“I miss the U.K., I miss parts of the U.K., of course I do,” Harry stated in an interview with the BBC, reflecting on how his family’s circumstances have affected their ability to visit. He added, “I think that it’s really quite sad that I won’t be able to show my children my homeland,” emphasising the emotional weight behind their potential return.
Despite the complications, Prince Harry remains determined to explore all avenues to ensure that their visit can occur safely and that his children can experience life in the UK. Reports from The Telegraph suggest that Harry is contemplating flying Meghan and their children into Britain for a brief day trip, allowing them to reconnect with family, particularly King Charles.
As Meghan continues to expand her business ventures and promote wellness through her brand, her family’s upcoming UK visit highlights the complex nature of their relationship with royal duties and the added layer of security concerns that now accompanies their public lives. As the Duchess balances her entrepreneurial activities with her roles as a mother and public figure, the coming weeks promise to be particularly eventful for the Sussex family.
