A 46-year-old man from Florida has been taken into custody on suspicion of impersonating a police officer after an incident involving an undercover police vehicle. Nadi Jabari was apprehended on June 24 in Thonotosassa, with authorities alleging that he was in possession of two sets of emergency lights and a firearm at the time of his arrest.

According to a press release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Jabari was driving a black Chevrolet Suburban when he allegedly activated red and blue emergency lights in an attempt to pull over an undercover squad car. The sheriff’s office reported that Jabari’s actions prompted deputies to stop his vehicle for questioning.
Upon stopping Jabari, deputies reportedly discovered an illegal emergency light setup, which included a two-foot emergency light bar, as well as a firearm. The findings from the traffic stop were confirmed through bodycam footage, where a deputy was seen holding one of the flashing lights that were located inside Jabari’s vehicle.
