In a candid interview on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on June 23, Kylee confirmed the split, expressing a sense of relief as she closed a significant chapter in her life. “Aven and I are no longer together. I think I’m OK with that, actually, I know I’m OK with that,” she stated. She acknowledged that despite their efforts to forge a lasting relationship, they ultimately wanted different things from life. “We’re just both two very different people who want two very different things in life,” she remarked, indicating that the decision to part ways was mutual and amicable.
Before their relationship blossomed on “Bachelor in Paradise”, which was viewed by many fans, Kylee had already developed an interest in Aven. She participated in Season 27 of “The Bachelor”, featuring Zach Shallcross, and shared during a January 2024 appearance on The Viall Files that, despite speculation to the contrary, she and Aven had not met prior to filming. “Aven and I never met prior to walking on the beach,” she clarified, explaining that she had her eye on him long before they crossed paths on the show.

While their time in “Bachelor in Paradise” began positively, the couple’s romance quickly faced turbulence after they officially announced their relationship. In December 2023, shortly after sharing their status on social media, Kylee revealed their breakup, alleging that Aven had been unfaithful. She described her heartache and confusion in a heartfelt Instagram post, saying, “One of the most important relationships in my life dissolved due to multiple infidelities.” Her message called for privacy as she sought to heal and reflect on the situation.
Despite the serious allegations, Aven chose not to publicly comment on Kylee’s claims. The couple managed to reconcile soon after, and during a subsequent interview in July 2024, Kylee shared that Aven had initially put in significant effort to regain her trust. She highlighted his commitment to personal growth, mentioning that he attended therapy and supported her move to San Diego, creating a positive atmosphere in their relationship in the early stages of their reunion.
However, as their relationship progressed, they encountered challenges once more, especially around the anniversary of their meeting. Kylee recalled a significant conversation during which Aven expressed doubts about their future together, indicating that although he wanted to make things work, he felt she was not fully invested. “He had to say… there was much damage that I have done personally, I don’t think our relationship will ever recover from that,” she recounted.

Despite these setbacks, Kylee and Aven did not stay apart for long and reunited in 2025. Kylee described the renewed relationship as vibrant and filled with promise. “Everything was amazing. We moved in together, life was truly starting to unravel, and I saw myself having a future with him,” she said, reflecting on this optimistic period of their partnership.
Nonetheless, Kylee pointed out a critical conflict that proved insurmountable: their differing views on where to raise a family. “I love the East Coast and Aven has created a life for himself in San Diego,” she explained, adding that her desire to stay close to her family was incompatible with Aven’s preferences. “Unfortunately, we just couldn’t come to terms with that,” Kylee concluded, indicating that these differing priorities ultimately led to their decision to part ways.
Both Kylee and Aven appeared on popular reality television seasons prior to their time on “Bachelor in Paradise”. Kylee aimed for love on Season 27 of “The Bachelor” and was eliminated in the fifth week, while Aven participated in Season 19 of “The Bachelorette”, where he finished as the runner-up vying for Rachel Recchia’s affection.
The split marks a decisive moment in a relationship that has seen its share of ups and downs, highlighting the complexities and challenges faced by couples navigating relationships in the public eye. As both move forward, fans and followers of the couple continue to express their support while respecting their privacy during this transition.
