A lawsuit has been filed against country music stars Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, along with former Major League Baseball player Adam LaRoche. GBT Realty Corporation, a property management firm based in Brentwood, Tennessee, is seeking over £1.4 million in damages due to alleged unpaid rent for E3 Chophouse Nashville, a restaurant co-owned by the musicians and LaRoche.

The lawsuit was lodged on 12 June, following the abrupt closure of the chophouse in February. Reports from Backstage Country and Nashville’s NBC affiliate, WSMV, highlight that the restaurant’s owners are accused of failing to pay the rent for both January and February, thereby breaching the terms of their lease agreement. The complaint details how the co-owners ceased monthly rent payments before the restaurant shut down.
GBT Realty Corporation’s legal action has emerged after an earlier court decision indicated the owners owed substantial damages, totalling over $1.4 million, as per reports. The E3 Chophouse’s legal representation has since appealed this ruling. As part of the ongoing litigation, GBT is demanding not only the unpaid rent from the Hillsboro Village location but also the remaining dues until the lease concludes in August 2029.
Both Bryan and Aldean, who are aged 49, along with LaRoche, aged 46, were involved in the grand opening of E3 Chophouse Nashville back in 2019. The Nashville venue was intended to offer a unique dining experience, alongside the original establishment in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, which continues to operate under LaRoche and his brothers.
Representatives for Bryan and Aldean have not yet responded to inquiries regarding the lawsuit. Additionally, GBT Realty Corporation and E3 Chophouse Nashville have been approached for comments but have yet to provide responses.
Following the closure announcement in February, the E3 Chophouse Nashville team released a statement on its website and social media platforms, stating that they were “hitting pause” to assess the needs of the Nashville market. The announcement raised questions about potential future rebranding or concept changes for the restaurant.
Since the closure, reports have indicated that the restaurant’s keys have been returned, leading to speculation about whether this pause could become a permanent closure. In their statement, the restaurant’s management assured patrons that they are evaluating market opportunities and would provide further updates in due course.
