Treger began his trip after arriving in Peru on May 11, eager to explore the renowned natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Andes. However, when he failed to return, alarm bells were raised, prompting his family to file a missing persons report. “I lost contact with my son while he was preparing to trek one of the many historic Andean trails in the region,” Ludwig shared on the crowdfunding platform.
