Former New Hampshire State Rep. Stacie Laughton Sentenced to 33 Years in Prison for ‘Horrendous’ Child Exploitation 

Stacie-Marie Laughton, a former lawmaker from New Hampshire, has received a hefty 33-year prison sentence after being convicted of several charges related to child sexual exploitation. The 42-year-old was sentenced in a Massachusetts federal court on June 18, a decision that follows her guilty plea to three counts linked to the abuse of minors.

Laughton’s legal troubles began in July 2023, when she was arrested for reportedly persuading her intimate partner, Lindsay Groves, to send her explicit images of young children. Groves, who was working at a childcare facility at the time, transmitted nude photographs of children aged between three and five years during break times, as detailed in a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
