Recently, ReeMarkable celebrated this exciting moment with a baby shower themed “Sweet Georgia Peach.” The intimate gathering took place on June 14, and she shared her vision with PEOPLE, revealing that she wanted the event to reflect her personality rather than conform to traditional baby shower norms. “I’m a Georgia peach, regardless of my roots in California,” she commented. “My baby is going to be a Georgia peach, and as I kept growing my little sweet peach, it just felt perfect and fitting for her.”

With guests mostly comprising family and close friends who have supported her over the years, ReeMarkable expressed her contentment with the private celebration, saying it bolstered her confidence in the love and support that will surround her daughter. “It was perfect. It was very private and every guest mattered. It just made me feel even more sure that our community and village for her is going to be strong,” she commented.
To create a memorable experience, ReeMarkable collaborated with Garden Memoirs + Events. Initially envisioning her baby shower at a peach farm, she had to adjust her plans but ensured that the space still radiated her unique style. She dressed in pink, an unusual choice for her, and embraced daintier elements reminiscent of a tea party she never had as a child.
The event featured several engaging activities, including a perfume bar and a flower bar, all curated to celebrate the occasion. Guests even had the opportunity to showcase their creative sides by making onesies, tutus, and headbands. One of the highlights included a fun challenge where participants rapped nursery rhymes over instrumental beats dropped by the DJ, further tying in ReeMarkable’s musical roots.
Culinary delights at the shower reflected true Southern flair, with dishes prepared by Chef Bless and treats from Jarria’s Sweet Bites. ReeMarkable reflected on the effort that went into the event, stating, “From the food to the cake, everything came together for an amazing experience… I hope when she gets older, she sees this and feels the love.”
As a mother to two boys—Hendrix, aged 21 months, and Jacoby, aged 17—ReeMarkable shared her thoughts on the uniqueness of expecting a daughter. She expressed how this change has shifted her outlook on life, saying, “Having a little girl has given me a different outlook on life! She’s not even here yet, and I’m already in a different head space.”
Reflecting on her late father, ReeMarkable expressed her emotions regarding how much he would have adored a granddaughter. “My dad loved his girls. That was his life,” she reminisced, recalling the impact he had on her and her sisters. “It makes me emotional sometimes, because I wish my dad was here… I know how cool of a grandpa he’d have been.”
The coincidence of her daughter’s due date with her sister’s birthday adds another layer of significance for ReeMarkable. Despite past disagreements with Erin, she finds the potential connection special, suggesting a possible reconciliation influenced by their father’s memory.
As she navigates the final stages of her pregnancy, ReeMarkable feels more motivated than ever to pursue her goals. “My aspirations have heightened,” she said. “I want everything for her to be so perfect… It’s summertime, so I’ve been battling with being tired, but I’m really just getting my act together.”
Looking back on the moment she discovered she would be having a daughter, ReeMarkable shared her surprise and excitement. “Growing up, I was always with the boys. I never thought that I would be deserving of a baby girl… It brought me to a closer place with God,” she reflected, appreciating the unexpected gift of motherhood to a daughter.
With her sights set on returning to music after the birth of her child, ReeMarkable expresses a desire to inspire her children through her craft. “Shout out to all the women that are having babies and still working,” she said. “I’m ready to get back to work and creating music that expresses my love for them.”
As she embarks on this new journey, ReeMarkable remains committed to celebrating her family, cherishing her father’s legacy, and sharing her experiences through her art.
