The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have unveiled their new squad for the 2025-26 season, with six fresh faces joining the elite team. This announcement, made via an Instagram post, sparked excitement among fans and followers alike, especially with the premiere of Season 3 of Netflix’s docuseries, *America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders*, which showcased the rigorous audition process.
The third season, which debuted on 16 June 2025, captivated audiences once again by taking them behind the scenes during the highly competitive auditions. DCC director Kelli Finglass noted that this year’s selection process was particularly tough, stating that the odds of being chosen were lower than those for Ivy League university admissions. However, it’s worth noting that these auditions took place nearly a year earlier, in July 2025.

Among the six new cheerleaders is Jenna Waller, a returning candidate who gained recognition as the final cut during the previous season’s training camp. Waller, a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, expressed her immense joy at achieving her dream, sharing her disbelief on Instagram after receiving the good news. Charly Barby, a current squad member, also celebrated Waller’s triumph, dubbing her a “comeback girl” and aptly noting the heartwarming journey that led her back to the squad.
The other five rookies include Madeline “Maddy” Unger, Brenley Herrera, Parker Kilpatrick, Faith Ward, and Morgan Perschy. Each of these cheerleaders brings their own unique backgrounds and experiences to the team. Unger, a University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate, celebrated her selection by sharing how grateful she was to be part of such an esteemed organisation. Acknowledged for her striking appearance and presence on stage, Unger has already begun to bond with her fellow teammates.

Brenley Herrera hails from Fort Worth, Texas, and has considerable experience, having spent four years as a pom dancer at Texas Tech University. Her excitement was palpable as she expressed her gratitude for being given the opportunity to cheer for “America’s Team”. Finglass noted that Herrera’s friendly demeanour contributed to her selection, reinforcing the importance of rapport within the squad.
Parker Kilpatrick, another Texan, comes from the University of Texas where she was part of the pom team prior to joining the DCC. An enthusiastic member of the previous Dallas Cowboys Rhythm & Blue squad, Kilpatrick was seen as a standout candidate by Finglass, who praised her charisma and dedication. After the announcement, she reflected on her journey, showcasing her pride through heartfelt social media posts.
Faith Ward made a unique entry into the cheerleading world, coming from Wellington, New Zealand. Previously a dancer with Royal Caribbean’s *Quantum of the Seas*, Ward had initially considered that joining the DCC might never be an option for her. Yet, following encouragement to audition, she showcased her talent and confidence, winning over officials and securing her place on the team. She has now made history as one of the first representatives from New Zealand and Australia to join the squad, expressing her heartfelt joy online.
Completing the new rookie lineup is Morgan Perschy, an alumna of Arizona State University’s dance team. Like her fellow rookies, she journeyed through the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Prep Intensive, where she realised her passion for the role. In the weeks that followed, she documented her experiences leading up to her selection, reflecting on the meaningful connections she has formed with her fellow rookies.
As the new chapter for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders begins, fans and followers eagerly anticipate the performances and stories that will unfold throughout the season. The combination of resilience, talent, and determination displayed by these six rookies highlights the competitive spirit of the DCC and sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting and memorable year ahead.
