In a tragic incident in Indiana, a two-vehicle collision claimed the lives of Jordan and Sierra Walters, both aged 33, on June 12. The devastating crash occurred on State Road 350 in Dearborn County, leaving their two young sons as survivors of this heartbreaking event.

The Indiana State Police (ISP) reported that the accident took place in the early evening, when a 2006 Ford F-150 travelling westbound veered into the eastbound lane, colliding head-on with a 2017 GMC Terrain driven by Jordan Walters. At the time of the crash, Jordan was accompanied by his wife Sierra and their two sons, Knight, aged 6, and Kyro, aged 4.
According to police statements, the impact of the collision was severe. The Ford truck spun and came to a stop in the middle of the road while the GMC veered off to the side, coming to rest at an embankment. Tragically, both Jordan and Sierra sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene by the Dearborn County Coroner’s Office.
Remarkably, their eldest son Knight managed to escape the wreckage. Family members shared with local news outlets that he was able to free himself from his booster seat and seek help from a passer-by. Knight reportedly climbed an embankment and informed a nearby woman that his younger brother Kyro needed assistance and that their parents would not awaken.
Following the accident, both Knight and Kyro were taken to a local hospital, alongside the driver of the Ford. Reports indicate that Knight underwent surgery for an arm injury and also sustained a lacerated spleen. Kyro, on the other hand, suffered a wrist fracture. Fortunately, both boys have since been discharged from the hospital, according to their uncle, Jerad Walters, who is now responsible for their care.
Jerad, who is a twin brother to Jordan, expressed the emotional toll the situation has taken on the family. He highlighted the love and dedication Jordan and Sierra had for their children, stating that the boys were the centre of their parents’ universe. “We’ll shower those boys with love and ensure they understand how much their parents loved them and how proud they were,” he remarked in a statement made to NBC affiliate WLWT.
