Rosanna Pansino, the popular YouTuber renowned for her baking series, “Nerdy Nummies,” recently faced a harrowing incident that overshadowed her 41st birthday celebrations. The accident occurred on June 8 while she was enjoying a day with friends on a boat, which took a troubling turn as it was docking.
In a candid Instagram post, Pansino revealed the extent of her injuries, which included breaking her jaw into four pieces and shattering her front teeth. She described the moment leading up to the fall, stating, “After a beautiful day spent with friends out in the ocean, I unfortunately took a very bad fall as the boat was docking.” The injuries required immediate medical attention, leading to an overnight stay in the emergency room where she received stitches for three facial wounds.
The YouTuber underwent a significant surgical procedure that involved placing a metal plate on her chin, in addition to having four metal screws affixed into her gums to stabilise her jaw. Furthermore, Pansino explained that due to the nature of her injuries, she would require extensive dental work to address the damage to her teeth.
Despite the severity of her accident, Pansino provided an optimistic update about her recovery. She expressed gratitude towards the medical staff who attended to her needs and shared that her latest medical appointment brought good news: she would be able to begin speaking sooner than anticipated.
