Kendra Duggar has listed one of the couple’s properties in Arkansas for sale at a price of £407,900, as her husband Joseph Duggar prepares to face legal proceedings in Florida. This decision comes just months after discussions regarding the property took place between the couple during a phone call from jail.

The home, which is located in Siloam Springs, features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and spans 1,738 square feet. It is also set on a plot of 1.14 acres. The sale of the residence follows a tumultuous few months for the family, particularly after Kendra’s relatives were reportedly asked to leave the home following the arrests of both Kendra and Joseph in March.
During a phone call on 25th March, which was later obtained by PEOPLE, the couple deliberated the merits of selling the house as opposed to keeping it as a rental property. Kendra considered the potential for steady rental income, especially in the event that Joseph faces incarceration stemming from his ongoing legal issues. Joseph proposed that selling the property might allow Kendra to reinvest the funds into constructing a new home, suggesting that building could be a more economical option.
The property also accommodates additional homes that the Duggars manage for short-term rentals, hinting at a broader financial strategy to maintain revenue streams amid their legal challenges. Current property assessments indicate that this land has an approximate value of £26,000.
Joseph Duggar is currently out on a £600,000 bond awaiting trial, facing two counts of lewd and lascivious behaviour related to allegations involving a nine-year-old girl. He has denied the charges, which are connected to an incident that is reported to have occurred in 2020. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 16, during which he will petition for a modification of his bail conditions to allow him unsupervised visitation with his children.
The courtroom dealings have compounded the family’s difficulties, as a motion filed in Florida suggests that Joseph has been unable to communicate with his biological children since his initial court hearing. Further complicating the situation, both he and Kendra face separate charges in Arkansas, including four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of false imprisonment, neither of which are connected to the charges in Florida.
