Two sisters from Detroit, Kierianna and Brianna Long, have pleaded not guilty to serious charges related to an alleged assault on a restaurant employee, which resulted in the victim requiring surgery. The incident took place on May 30 at a local chicken eatery and was reportedly sparked by a dispute over an incorrect food order.

According to prosecutors, the confrontation escalated when the sisters, dissatisfied with their order, reportedly moved behind the counter and began to attack a 23-year-old employee. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the incident turned chaotic, with the sisters allegedly pursuing the worker throughout the restaurant, throwing various items, including hot grease, pots, and pans, at her.
In a particularly alarming turn of events, one sister is accused of stabbing the victim in the stomach during the fracas. Reports indicate that in the heat of the moment, one of the sisters also threatened the worker’s life, allegedly stating, “I’m going to kill you.” The employee managed to defend herself, throwing objects back at her assailants, including the knife that was later used to inflict the stab wound.
In a desperate bid for safety, the victim escaped the restaurant and sought refuge in a stranger’s vehicle, where she attempted to contact authorities for help. Although her identity has not been disclosed publicly, it has been established that she was hospitalised as a result of the incident and underwent surgery due to her injuries.
Following the attack, both sisters fled the scene. However, they were later apprehended by law enforcement. Prosecutors have charged Kierianna Long with stabbing the employee, while Brianna Long is alleged to have participated in the assault and assisted in their escape from the restaurant.
The sisters face multiple felony charges, including assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to cause great bodily harm less than murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon. They appeared in court for their arraignment on June 8, where it was revealed that Brianna was nine months pregnant at the time of the alleged attack. Notably, she gave birth just days before their court appearance.
During the hearing, the defence attorneys for the sisters contended that the restaurant employee initiated the confrontation by throwing objects first. They also claimed that the victim expressed indifference regarding the incorrect food order that precipitated the altercation.
Both sisters have entered pleas of not guilty, maintaining their innocence amid escalating allegations. Kierianna is currently being held on a bond of $100,000, while Brianna’s bond is set at $25,000, pending further legal proceedings.
