Kimberly Wyatt, a member of the renowned musical group The Pussycat Dolls, is set to embark on a major world tour despite not being completely pain-free following her hip replacement surgery. The tour, known as PCD Forever, marks the group’s first extensive performance series since their 2009 Doll Domination Tour. Wyatt, alongside fellow bandmates Ashley Roberts and Nicole Scherzinger, will be visiting 21 cities during this much-anticipated musical journey.

At the age of 44, Wyatt admits that the physical demands of performing are still considerable. Speaking to The Times UK, she revealed that she is diligently preparing for the tour by incorporating ballet exercises such as relevés and pliés into her routine. To assist with strength training, she employs a pull-up bar weekly, aiming to enhance her performance capability.

Wyatt attributes her need for a hip replacement to a combination of her high-energy dance performances over the years and the physical toll of bearing three children through Caesarean sections. She is a mother to three youngsters, aged between six and eleven, whom she shares with her husband, model Max Rogers. Despite the challenges, she remains determined to give her best on stage and plans to showcase her iconic leg lift move, which she believes is a hallmark of her legacy.

“I’ve been working hard on my ballet moves in preparation, and the leg lift is definitely making a comeback on the tour,” Wyatt declared. However, she candidly added that even with the surgery, she is “not totally” free of discomfort. Jokingly, she suggested the possibility of requiring another hip replacement in the future but emphasised her enthusiasm for this tour.
This reunion comes after a previously planned tour in 2019 was abandoned due to the pandemic. For Wyatt, the opportunity to perform with The Pussycat Dolls once again signifies more than just nostalgia; it is an occasion that resonates deeply with her personal and professional growth. “Having this chance again in our forties means so much more than it did in our twenties,” she reflected, highlighting the importance of this moment in her life and career.
The Pussycat Dolls, known for their compelling sound and daring choreography, have a rich history and a dedicated fanbase, making this tour especially significant. The group has undergone several changes over the years, but Wyatt believes that their current dynamic, as a trio, brings a fresh energy to their performances.
As they prepare to hit the road, Wyatt’s appreciation for the opportunity to connect with fans has grown immensely. She recognises the unique experience of performing at this stage of her life, and the enhanced appreciation she has for her craft. As her excitement builds for the upcoming tour, she is reminded that every performance is a tribute to the hard work and sacrifices she has made throughout her career.
It’s an exciting time for both Wyatt and The Pussycat Dolls, as they gear up to bring their music and signature style to stages worldwide once again. Audiences can expect to witness a combination of nostalgia and renewed passion, with Wyatt leading the charge, leg lift and all. As they set forth on this adventure, the group aims not only to entertain but also to inspire, showcasing resilience and the joy of returning to doing what they love most.
