The Round Rock Police Department released security footage that captures the group breaking into the water park during the early morning hours. The footage revealed a series of criminal acts, including vandalism and the ransacking of concession merchandise. The police shared images of the suspects on social media, highlighting their covered faces in a bid to gather tips from the public.

In their post, the police noted, “Pretty sure this wasn’t what y’all told your parents you were doing,” underscoring the unexpected nature of the teenagers’ antics. They further emphasised their reliance on the surveillance cameras positioned throughout the park, stating, “Unfortunately for them, the park has cameras. Lots of ‘em.”
A police spokesperson explained how the suspects managed to gain access to the premises by damaging the clamps securing a section of the perimeter fence. This act of vandalism created an opening under the chain-link barrier, providing a way into the property. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
Photos released show extensive disorder in a concession area, with scattered ice cream products and soft drink bottles strewn across the grass. Additional footage displayed the suspects allegedly sifting through the concession stand, their faces obscured by towels or clothing as they attempted to avoid identification.
As of June 3, no arrests have been made or suspects officially named in connection with the incident. Despite the extensive damage, park officials acted quickly to address the situation, allowing operations to resume the very next day. Staff undertook immediate repairs to ensure that visitors would not be affected by the break-in.
Rock’N River Water Park had recently opened for the 2026 season on May 22, celebrating a major expansion that nearly doubled its capacity from 1,600 to 2,400 guests. The renovations were the first since 2006 and included the unveiling of a new “Raging R” adventure river, significantly larger than the previous lazy river. The upgrades also featured additional cabanas and amenities available for rent, enhancing the visitor experience.
This incident, while disheartening for park officials and patrons alike, has underscored the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in combating local crime. Authorities remain optimistic that with public assistance, the identities of those involved will soon be uncovered.
As investigations continue, the Round Rock community is reminded to remain alert and report any suspicious activities. The police have reiterated their commitment to resolving the case and restoring a sense of safety and security at one of the area’s most popular recreational venues.
