The comics include “Archie #1,” “Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1,” and “Archie in Hell #1,” with all three titles scheduled to be released between September and November 2026. This year not only commemorates the iconic character’s first appearance in “Pep Comics” back in 1941 but also brings forth fresh narratives and innovative artwork for a modern audience.

Oni Press Publisher Hunter Gorinson expressed his excitement regarding the project, describing it as one of the most significant collaborations in the publisher’s thirty-year history. “Our new comics are brimming with pop and power,” he stated, emphasising their goal to deliver captivating content that celebrates the legacy of Archie Comics while appealing to a contemporary audience.
The creative teams behind the new comic series feature notable talents. “Archie #1” will be penned by Ben H. Winters, known for his work in “Cruel Universe,” with illustrations by renowned artists Fábio Moon and Nick Cagnetti. Meanwhile, “Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1” is written by Corinna Bechko, whose credits include “Green Lantern: Earth One,” and illustrated by Kano, famous for his work in “Gotham Central.” The third title, “Archie in Hell #1,” has Patrick Horvath at the helm as writer, with Tyler Crook providing the artwork.
This ambitious launch comes at a time when the popularity of Archie Comics has seen a resurgence, partly due to successful adaptations like The CW’s “Riverdale” and Netflix’s “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.” Targeted at a new generation of readers, these comic titles promise to bring the timeless charm of Archie’s universe back into the spotlight.
Gorinson further elaborated on the intent behind these releases, stating, “From Archie to Sabrina and Archie in Hell, each comic is designed to be a highly concentrated dose of pure entertainment.” This commitment to engaging storytelling and vibrant design reflects the energetic essence of Archie’s 85-year legacy, an enduring celebratory element that fans can expect from the new series.
As fans gear up for this milestone, Oni Press will be making the comics available for preorder through their official website. This has created anticipation among enthusiasts who are eager to see how the characters have evolved while maintaining the spirit that has made them longstanding favourites.
The three new titles will be released sequentially in the coming months. “Archie #1” is scheduled for September, followed by “Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1” in October, and finally “Archie in Hell #1” in November. Readers can look forward to a thrilling return of Archie and his friends, attracting avid comic readers and potentially inspiring new fans.
In addition to the upcoming comic series, these releases will coincide with the premiere of the new Disney+ series “Afterlife with Archie,” which is expected to further invigorate interest in the franchise. This multifaceted approach aims to honour Archie Comics’ legacy while paving the way for contemporary interpretations that resonate with today’s audiences.
As the excitement builds, the collaboration between Oni Press and Archie Comic Publications, Inc. highlights not only the innovative potential of comic book storytelling but also showcases the timeless nature of characters that have transcended generations. The upcoming titles aim to delight and engage readers across all age groups, cementing Archie’s place in popular culture for years to come.
