The fourth season of Netflix’s “Perfect Match” has left audiences buzzing, particularly as several of the show’s couples have sparked new off-screen romances following the finale. The series, which premiered on May 13, brought together a fresh cast of reality TV personalities and influencers, all seeking their ideal matches amid a backdrop of intense drama and romantic twists.

As each couple navigated compatibility challenges, some opted for “open” relationships, resulting in six pairs making it to the final episode. These included Dave Hand paired with Sophie Willett, Jimmy Sotos with Alison Ogden, Weston Richey alongside Kayla Richart, Yamen Sanders coupled with Natalie Cruz, Jimmy Presnell and Ally Lewber, and DeMari Davis with Marissa George. The finale, aired on May 27, saw Dave and Sophie emerge as the winners, earning a luxurious week-long trip together.

However, as fans of the show eagerly speculate about the status of these relationships after the cameras stopped rolling, it is evident that not all connections have stood the test of time.

Starting with the winners, Dave and Sophie’s romance has sadly fizzled out since the series concluded. During their time in the villa, the bond between Dave, who is based in Australia, and Sophie, who resides in the UK, deepened. However, post-show logistics proved daunting. After a conversation about their future, Sophie confirmed to Tudum that they had opted to remain friends due to communication challenges. “Unfortunately, there is a whole wide ocean in between us,” she expressed, acknowledging her single status. Meanwhile, Dave is focused on finding his ideal partner in a more stable setting.
In contrast, the relationship between Jimmy Sotos and Alison Ogden appears to be evolving. From their initial chemistry on-screen, the pair has continued to explore their connection in private, described by Alison as them “figuring things out”. Despite facing challenges related to post-show adjustments, especially for Jimmy, who experienced “post-villa depression,” they have recently expressed a renewed commitment to one another. After spending time together in Los Angeles and meeting each other’s friends, they seem to be taking a more measured approach to their relationship without the pressure of labels.
Yamen Sanders and Natalie Cruz took a different route. Initially transitioning from friends to a romantic pairing during the show, they have since returned to a platonic relationship. Natalie revealed to Tudum that they no longer communicate and described herself as enjoying single life. Interestingly, she mentioned having a brief romance with another contestant after filming wrapped but chose not to disclose the identity of her new partner. On his end, Yamen has moved on and is currently dating Whitney Adebayo, a contestant from “Love Island UK.”
Jimmy Presnell and Ally Lewber also faced their fair share of ups and downs during the competition. Despite initially matching on the first day, Ally opted to partner with another contestant, Hashim Moore, and only rekindled her connection with Jimmy when he was brought back into the villa by other couples. After filming, they attempted to continue their romance, but real-life circumstances hampered their commitment. Ally relocated to Charleston, South Carolina, while Jimmy is now based in Miami, leading them to recognise that they were not ready for a lasting relationship.
Similar pitfalls were witnessed in the partnership of Weston Richey and Kayla Richart. Their connection, which had begun relatively late in the season, faced complications when Kayla expressed longing for a previous connection, Chris Dahlan, during the finale. Although Chris has reportedly rekindled a romance with her, Kayla maintained her single status as of late May, suggesting that her path remains uncertain.
Lastly, the relationship between DeMari Davis and Marissa George, which began with significant promise, has since taken a dramatic turn. After the series concluded, Marissa reconnected with a past love, D. Johnson, leading to their engagement in February 2026 and a wedding just a month later. Marissa reflected on their enduring feelings and connection over the years, stating, “Over the last 13 years, we somehow always found our way back to each other.” As for DeMari, he has vocalised his desire to be more intentional in his search for a partner, aiming to find someone he wants to marry next.
As the dust settles post-season four, it is clear that “Perfect Match” has catalysed various romantic journeys, with some contestants finding tangible connections while others have chosen to return to the dating field. The show might have concluded, but its impact on the cast’s personal lives continues to evolve, underlining the complexities of love in reality television.
