Jack Avery Breaks Silence After Child’s Mother, Her Dad Charged in Alleged Plot to Kill Him

Gabbie Gonzalez, a social media influencer, and her father, Francisco Gonzalez, have been arrested for reportedly conspiring to murder her ex-boyfriend, Jack Avery, who is the father of her daughter. Authorities revealed that the alleged murder-for-hire scheme, which is said to involve a staged car accident, is linked to an ongoing custody battle between Gonzalez and Avery over their seven-year-old child.

The arrests were made earlier this week, with Gabbie, 24, currently being held without bail in Los Angeles, while her 59-year-old father was apprehended in Florida under a fugitive warrant related to the California charges. He faces serious allegations, including conspiracy to commit murder and solicitation of murder.

According to court documents, the tensions between the two families have escalated over the years due to protracted disputes surrounding custody and visitation rights. In a recent Instagram post, Avery outlined the distressing circumstances surrounding the alleged plot, stating, “A few days ago, three individuals were arrested in connection with an alleged plot to kill me. Avery emphasised his priority of ensuring a stable environment for their daughter, Lavender. Francisco Gonzalez was apprehended in Seminole County, Florida, where he appeared in court shortly after his arrest. He waived extradition, which will facilitate his transfer back to California to face the charges against him. Reports in the affidavit highlight a concerning pattern of hostility exhibited by Francisco towards Avery, describing him as being heavily invested in the custody dispute. Witness accounts suggest that he had not only threatened action against Avery but also made remarks implying that eliminating Avery could ease their custody struggles. One witness claimed Francisco said it would be “cheaper if Avery were dead.”

The document further details that Francisco allegedly collaborated with a private investigator to surveil Avery, even tracking him in Kauai, Hawaii. It is alleged that this was done in an effort to collect incriminating evidence that could bolster their case in custody court.

Sources indicated that conversations took place in which Gabbie allegedly discussed recruiting a hitman and planning to use the dark web and cryptocurrency like Bitcoin to fund the assassination plot. The goal appeared to be constructing a facade that would disguise the murder as an accident.

Additionally, the investigation points to Francisco acting as the financial backer for the intended crime, with allegations that he provided around £8,000 to fund the hit. He was reportedly involved in discussions with a purported hitman, who was actually an undercover federal agent.

Previously, in a September 2025 interview on the Zac Sang Show, Avery disclosed that the FBI had informed him of a potential threat to his life, although he did not reveal any specific suspects at that time. Now, in light of the current developments, the situation has escalated into a serious criminal case, drawing significant public attention.
