Broussard, a 33-year-old mother, was described by her family as vibrant and adventurous. Her mother, Tammy Broussard, recounted fond memories of her daughter, noting that she was always seeking out new experiences and was beloved by many. Just prior to her tragic disappearance, Broussard had welcomed Margo Elizabeth Carey into the world on November 26, 2019, and was engaged to Shane Carey.
Fieramusca, who had known Broussard since childhood, was arrested after her friend’s body was discovered in the trunk of her car, parked outside her home. This grim discovery came after police viewed surveillance footage that confirmed Broussard and Margo had entered a vehicle matching the one registered to Fieramusca. Margo was found safe, but the circumstances surrounding her mother’s death pointed to a betrayal that no one could have anticipated.
Arrested shortly after Broussard’s body was found, Fieramusca was revealed to have fabricated a pregnancy to match Broussard’s timeline.
