Tori Amos, the renowned singer-songwriter, recently experienced an unfortunate incident while on tour that has left her injured. The 62-year-old musician revealed on social media that her tour bus narrowly avoided a collision with a large moose while travelling from Copenhagen to Stockholm.

Describing the close encounter, Amos shared that her bus driver, Chris, managed to steer clear of the towering creature, which stood at 6 feet tall and weighed around 1,500 pounds. However, during the unexpected situation, Amos had just stood up to head to her bunk and was thrown against the bus lounge’s ledge, resulting in injuries to her face and body.
In an Instagram post detailing the incident, Amos poignantly stated, “Unfortunately yours truly happened to have just stood up to head to my bunk when the Moose appeared…. and I was thrown against the ledge in the bus lounge resulting in me slamming the side of my face.” She went on to joke about her appearance, saying, “So for the next week or so if it looks like I have gone a few rounds with Ronda Rousey, now you will know why.” Despite her injury, she reassured fans that her performances would continue as planned.
This latest mishap is not the first injury the artist has suffered on tour. Earlier in 2023, Amos fractured her fibula and tore an ankle tendon after tripping while wearing heels. Remarkably resilient, she shared that she would wear a protective boot during the day but would still be at the piano for her performances. “I now have a lovely boot which I am wearing during the day, but no fear I will be at the piano as usual for the rest of the tour,” she told her followers at that time.
Amos, known for her distinctive sound and poignant lyricism, has just released her 18th studio album, titled “In Times of Dragons,” on May 1.
