**Reba McEntire and Rex Linn Tease “Low-Key” Wedding Plans Amidst Busy Schedules**

Country music legend Reba McEntire has shared insights into her much-anticipated wedding plans with her fiancé, fellow actor Rex Linn. In an interview with ExtraTV, McEntire elaborated on the unique touches she envisions for the ceremony, highlighting the role of their beloved pets in the festivities.
The couple, who rose to fame as co-stars in the series “Happy’s Place,” got engaged on Christmas Eve 2024, later confirming their engagement publicly in September 2025. The 71-year-old singer revealed that their animals, including two granddogs—Watson and Belle—will play an essential part in celebrating their union.
“We’re going to have to have dogs there,” stated McEntire, who is known for her love of animals. “I have two granddogs, Watson and Belle, so they may be the ring bearers or something like that, but we have to have our animals in there. We’ve got longhorns and donkeys, horses, and even cats. We have a lot of fun with them.”
Linn, 69, has echoed McEntire’s excitement, stating that the couple plans to wed at their picturesque ranch in Tennessee. The couple’s shared love for their pets is evident, as the dogs belong to McEntire’s son, Shelby Blackstock, and his wife, Marissa.
While the exact date for the wedding remains undetermined, McEntire assured fans that the event would be a relaxed gathering. She described the celebration as “low-key” and filled with the company of close friends and family. “It’s going to be low-key, lots of fun, lots of people, lots of food. Our big motto is just have fun,” she remarked.

McEntire noted that plans have been put on hold due to Linn’s work commitments. “Wedding plans are kind of being pushed every time Rex gets a job because he always says work comes first. Heck, we might be engaged 30 years before we get married, but we’re okay with that, too,” she joked.
Linn shared similar sentiments, indicating that he is more focused on enjoying their engagement rather than rushing towards the altar. “No, we haven’t set a date. We’re just enjoying our engagement right now, and I’m having a blast enjoying the engagement,” he said in a previous interview. He added that he doesn’t mind waiting and appreciates the journey they are on together.
This will not be McEntire’s first trip down the aisle; she has been married twice before. Her first marriage was to Charlie Battles from 1976 until their divorce in 1987, followed by her union with Narvel Blackstock in 1989, which lasted until their separation in 2015. Linn, on the other hand, has never been married previously.
