**Albright’s Raw Pet Food Issues Voluntary Recall Over Salmonella Concerns**

Albright’s Raw Pet Food, based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has announced a voluntary recall of a specific lot of its Chicken Recipe for Dogs Complete and Balanced product. This recall comes in response to potential Salmonella contamination, as highlighted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The FDA’s recent notice revealed that the affected product, sold as frozen 1 lb. bricks in clear vacuum packaging, was distributed across the United States as well as to select retailers in several states including Massachusetts, California, South Carolina, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and New York. Customers can also purchase the product through online sales.

The recalled lot bears the code C001730 and has a best-buy date of 28 April 2027. According to the FDA, the recall was initiated following routine testing, which detected Salmonella species in one of the composite samples taken from the batch. At this time, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the affected lot.

Salmonella is a bacterium that can infect the gastrointestinal tract of animals and may lead to a condition known as salmonellosis.
