A special family outing to Disneyland took place on May 11, 2026, as Meghan Markle shared cherished moments from the day with her followers on social media. Accompanied by her husband, Prince Harry, their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, as well as Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, the trip was notable not only for the fun-filled rides but also as an extension of Mother’s Day celebrations.

Sources close to the family revealed that the excursion was a meaningful way for Meghan and her mother to extend their Mother’s Day festivities, while also celebrating the birthdays of their children. Prince Archie marked his seventh birthday on May 6, and Princess Lilibet is set to turn five on June 4. This year’s visit also continued a family tradition of celebrating milestones at the renowned Californian theme park.
Meghan offered a glimpse into their day through a carousel of photos on Instagram, capturing various unforgettable moments from their adventure. Many of the images highlighted the activities enjoyed by the children, as the family revisited some of Archie’s favourite attractions. The outing was reminiscent of their trip last year, which took place near Lilibet’s birthday.

In one picture shared by Meghan, the family is seen from behind as they stroll through Disneyland, showcasing how quickly Prince Archie has grown. Now taller than before, his development is influenced by both his parents, with Harry standing at 6’1″ and Meghan at 5’6″. Additionally, both children are showcasing their father’s iconic red hair, a trait Harry has often attributed to his mother, the late Princess Diana.
The photos also showed that Princess Lilibet sported a low, relaxed bun hairstyle, similar to Meghan’s signature look. In a previous television appearance, Harry has expressed surprise at how his children’s ginger hair prevailed, stating, “I actually really, genuinely thought at the beginning of my relationship [with Meghan] that should this go the distance and we have kids that there’s no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife’s genes, but I was wrong! Go gingers.”

One of the highlights from the day was the family’s visit to the Star Wars section of the park, where they interacted with Stormtroopers and Darth Vader. Meghan was seen affectionately placing a hand on Lilibet’s back as they made their way to meet the characters. The family was previously captivated by these galactic soldiers during a visit in June 2025, with Archie appearing mesmerised by the experience.
After stepping back from their royal duties in the UK in 2020, Harry and Meghan relocated to Montecito, California, where they now reside about two hours from Disneyland. They reflected on their own childhood visits to Disneyland while expressing joy in taking their children to what is often referred to as “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
In a special edition of “20/20” that aired in September 2025, Harry shared memories of their previous visits, specifically highlighting Princess Lilibet’s birthday trip. He noted the children’s excitement as they anticipated entering the park, saying, “They’re like, ‘This is amazing!’ Like, ‘Guys, this isn’t even the front of it. Prepare yourself. You’re about to be blown away.’” He also commented on the joy of watching the kids experience the magic of Disneyland, stating, “To see the kids throw themselves into these experiences when they have no idea what they’re walking into — it was amazing. And it brings out the kid in you again.”
This recent Disneyland visit serves as a reminder of the family’s commitment to carrying on traditions, while also creating new memories as they navigate life away from royal obligations. Meghan’s photos not only provide a glimpse into the family’s private life but also reflect the joy and love shared between the members of the Sussex clan.
