Jane Fonda has expressed her deep sorrow following the passing of her ex-husband, Ted Turner, who was a prominent figure in media and the founder of CNN. Turner, who also established the Turner Broadcasting System, died at the age of 87 on May 6, as confirmed by Turner Enterprises.

Fonda, who was wed to Turner from 1991 until their divorce in 2001, paid tribute to him through an emotional statement shared on Instagram. In her thoughtful reflection, she described Turner as a “gloriously handsome, deeply romantic, swashbuckling pirate,” revealing the profound influence he had on her life. She reminisced about how his affectionate nature transformed her perception of love and necessity, noting, “He needed me. No one had ever let me know they needed me.”
