The Covington Police Department (CPD), which is leading the investigation, reported that Foust was last spotted in the Latonia neighbourhood of Covington. On Friday, May 1, the CPD released surveillance images showing Foust walking alone shortly before they went missing. The student was dressed in a dark jacket and T-shirt, paired with loose-fitting patterned trousers, black trainers, and a yellow backpack.

Foust, who is studying at the NKU School of the Arts, was reportedly en route to the university from the Over-the-Rhine area of Cincinnati at approximately 5:30 PM when they disappeared. A friend of Foust, Charlie King, mentioned in a Facebook post that the student “never made it to class.” The situation has raised significant alarm among friends and family members.
According to reports, Foust’s vehicle was found just a block away from their apartment in the Latonia area. Additionally, their bag was located on the campus of NKU, and police also discovered Foust’s mobile phone at the student’s residence. Despite these findings, the CPD has not confirmed specific details regarding Foust’s disappearance, nor have they clarified the circumstances surrounding the student’s last movements.
Corey Best, NKU’s chief of communications, confirmed the student’s missing status in a statement, expressing sympathy for Foust’s family and friends. “Our thoughts are with their family, friends, and all those impacted,” Best noted. He assured that NKU is fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Foust is described as standing approximately five feet seven inches tall, having brown eyes and dyed black, shoulder-length hair. The student bears several tattoos, which include a geometric pattern on one elbow, a ram skull on the upper arm, and an image of the crucified Jesus Christ on one shin. This description could assist in identifying Foust should anyone come across them or have any information pertaining to their whereabouts.
King’s Facebook post reflected concerns from friends and family, stating there’s “not a trace of Murry anywhere.” The post highlighted the urgency of public awareness in locating Foust, who is cherished by their loved ones. As fears grow, the CPD has appealed directly to the community, asking anyone with knowledge of Foust’s location to contact authorities promptly.
The Covington Police Department’s official appeal for assistance included contact details, encouraging individuals with any leads to call either 911 or the CPD at the number provided. Both the police and NKU’s School of the Arts have not yet responded to further inquiries regarding the situation as it continues to develop.
Anyone with information regarding Murry “Alexis” Foust is urged to share what they know, as the community comes together to support the search for the missing student. Foust’s disappearance serves as a somber reminder of the importance of community vigilance and support in crisis situations.
