Man Thrown Onto NYC Subway Tracks, Kicked Back Down As He Tried to Climb to Safety — and Suspect is Still at Large

A violent incident unfolded at a subway station in the Bronx on the evening of April 28, leaving a 39-year-old man injured and a suspect at large. The attack occurred around 8:36 PM at the East 149th Street station while the victim was on the platform for the northbound number 6 train, according to a statement from the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Police reports indicate that an unidentified assailant approached the victim and, in a sudden act of aggression, picked him up and hurled him onto the subway tracks. Eyewitness accounts suggest that as the man attempted to rescue himself and climb back onto the platform, the attacker responded by kicking him back down onto the tracks.

Fortunately, the victim managed to avoid severe injuries. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended to him at the scene and subsequently transported him to a nearby hospital. He was reported to be in stable condition upon arrival, but the attack left him shaken.
