Luna and her fiancé, 26-year-old Anthony Lerma, welcomed their identical quadruplets on Valentine’s Day, February 14, at the Corpus Christi Medical Center. The birth of Amora, Analia, Arya, and A’zura has brought both joy and challenges to the couple, as they adapt to their new reality of caring for five children.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Lerma said, recalling the moment he learned about the unexpected pregnancy. It was not merely an increase in family size they were preparing for; at Luna’s 12-week scan, they discovered she was expecting four babies instead of just one. “It was overwhelming at first,” Luna admitted, especially after dedicating two years to her nursing prerequisites.
Despite the initial shock, both Luna and Lerma expressed their happiness upon learning about their upcoming arrivals. Luna’s pregnancy, while risky due to the nature of carrying multiples, was relatively uneventful until she approached her delivery date. At 29 weeks, what she thought were practice contractions turned into the real deal, leading to a stay at the hospital where a dedicated medical team was prepared for the intricate delivery of quadruplets.
Dr. Miguel Deleon, a neonatologist at the facility, affirmed their readiness for such cases. The expert staff at Corpus Christi Medical Center managed the delivery, and all four baby girls initially required care in the hospital’s Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Over two months later, while three of the girls are now safely at home, little Arya remains in recovery following surgery for a digestive issue.
Adjusting to the change in dynamics at home has proved to be a challenge for the young family, who have temporarily moved in with Luna’s parents for additional support. The demands of caring for three newborns alongside a toddler have left the couple exhausted. “I thought it would be a little easier knowing that I was already a mum,” Luna reflected. “It’s actually very exhausting, but worth it to have four babies.”
In the midst of navigating the demands of parenthood, the couple has seen the positive influence of their eldest child, Anthony. The three-year-old has embraced his role as a big brother and expresses affection towards his newborn sisters. “He’s very gentle,” Luna noted, impressed by her son’s caring nature.

They hope to instil values of faith, independence, and respect in their children. “I want them to be able to treat other people with respect,” Lerma said, expressing his desire for their daughters to help those in need.
Luna remains committed to completing her nursing degree when the time permits, aspiring to specialise in anaesthesiology and work in the NICU, having witnessed firsthand the exceptional care provided to her daughters. “They have been so lovely and amazing,” she recalled, praising the NICU staff for their compassion and support during what was an emotional time for the family.
