Eilish explained that the decision for Finneas to step back from touring was the result of their increasingly busy schedules. Since supporting her 2021 album “Happier Than Ever” with a series of concerts, Finneas has found success in his own right, making it difficult for the siblings to spend quality time together. “We got so busy that we would only see each other right before going on stage,” Eilish revealed.
Reflecting on how Finneas had previously been an integral part of her live shows, Eilish likened his touring situation to being “stuck in a tower—like Rapunzel.” She also sensed that Finneas felt constrained by his role as her band member, adding that she had an inkling he had “more to be doing.”
