Interior designer and HGTV personality Alison Victoria has opened up about her transformative journey of love and personal growth after a significant breakup from an eight-year relationship. During a recent appearance on the “Wife of the Party” podcast, Victoria shared the circumstances surrounding her meeting with boyfriend Brandt Andersen at a personal growth retreat, revealing how serendipity played a key role during a challenging period of her life.

Reflecting on her past relationship, the 44-year-old designer candidly admitted that she had struggled for years, holding on with hope for a different outcome. “I was in this relationship for eight years. It was just not for me, but I just kept staying in it and hoping for a different result,” she said. The emotional weight of that chapter eventually led Victoria to attend a seven-day retreat aimed at self-discovery and healing.
Arriving at the retreat, she described herself as being at “rock bottom.” Feeling devastated and needing to rediscover herself, she engaged in activities designed to address her childhood traumas and break unhealthy patterns. It was here she first encountered Andersen, who was also seeking personal growth. Despite the significance of the setting, Victoria initially felt no attraction towards him. “I was not there to meet anyone,” she explained, adding that participants were encouraged to keep romantic feelings in check for the sake of their emotional work.
As Victoria continued her journey through the retreat, she found herself developing a deep friendship with Andersen. Over time, this bond blossomed into something more profound. “After talking with him for a while, I fell in love with him. It’s the most beautiful story,” she shared, highlighting the unexpected nature of their connection.
The couple officially revealed their relationship to the public in June 2024, making a notable appearance together at the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Creative Arts & Lifestyle Awards. This moment on the red carpet was swiftly followed by an Instagram announcement, where they showcased their affection for one another to their followers. Since then, their social media posts have not shied away from featuring affectionate moments, demonstrating their strong partnership.
In a recent twist that captured media attention, engagement rumours swirled around the couple earlier this month. This speculation was ignited when Victoria was spotted wearing a substantial ring on her left hand while at a salon, prompting fans to wonder if the couple had taken the next step in their relationship. However, sources later confirmed that the pair are not engaged at this time. “Alison and Brandt are still happily in love and in partnership with one another,” a source disclosed to PEOPLE.
In addition to her evolving personal life, Victoria has also been navigating significant changes in her professional career. Earlier this year, she expressed her disappointment regarding the cancellation of her show “Battle on the Beach.” In an interview on the “Pap Smear Podcast,” Victoria voiced her feelings about the lost potential of the series, stating, “I did a show called ‘Battle on the Beach.’ I love that show. It was so fun and funny. And then all of a sudden, I watched the episode, and I’m like, ‘Well, where’d all that great content go?'”
Despite this setback, the designer turned her focus towards the future and launched a spinoff of her successful series “Windy City Rehab,” titled “Sin City Rehab,” which premiered in September 2025. This new project marks a fresh chapter in her career, as she continues to engage with her passion for design and home renovation.
As Alison Victoria moves forward, she embraces both her personal and professional journeys with an open heart, reflecting on how the challenges have shaped her into who she is today. With love blossoming and new projects on the horizon, her story serves as a testament to resilience and the power of new beginnings.
