Sterling K. Brown stars in Shipt’s latest campaign, “No Order Is Ordinary,” which shines a light on the profound moments surrounding everyday deliveries. As a platform known for same-day grocery delivery, Shipt aims to illustrate that even the simplest of orders can carry significant emotional weight in our day-to-day lives.

During the launch of this campaign on April 24, Brown shared his personal experiences using Shipt to cater to his children’s snack preferences. The event took place at Shipt’s “Special Delivery” pop-up in New York City, which aimed to create an immersive experience celebrating the campaign. Brown, who assumes the role of Chief Storyteller for Shipt, participated in a discussion alongside Alia Kemet, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, and Peloton instructor Ally Love.
Brown’s anecdotes about his sons’ dietary tastes added a personal touch to the event. He explained how his 14-year-old son, Andrew, has developed a taste for smoothies, requiring frozen bananas and almond milk, easily sourced through Shipt. Brown light-heartedly recounted that his son now independently prepares his favourite drink, thanks to the convenience of delivery.

Conversely, his younger son Amarè, aged 10, has more traditional tastes, favouring a gourmet peanut butter and jelly sandwich. “But he needs his brioche bread ‘cause he’s fancy,” Brown quipped, contrasting his son’s refined palate with his own nostalgic memories of childhood snacks made with simple Wonder bread.

The actor expressed his belief in the value of leveraging Shipt as a resource to maintain family connections. “It takes something off my plate that would otherwise pull me away from time spent with my family,” he stated, highlighting the service’s role in enabling him to focus on meaningful moments. Brown emphasised the trust he has in the Shipt shoppers he interacts with, representing an essential part of his shopping routine.
In a promotional video for the “No Order Is Ordinary” campaign, Brown narrates a series of scenarios that encapsulate the emotional significance of everyday deliveries. He emphasises that a grocery bag is not merely filled with produce but can be associated with family traditions and cherished recipes. In a particular scene, a man shares a personal moment with a food delivery while reminiscing about his mother’s cooking.
The narrative next transitions to a mother receiving soap, which Brown likens to a transformative experience rather than just a household item. He describes it as a ritual that signifies a mother finding her rhythm again after childbirth. His exploration of ordinary moments extends to a child expressing creativity through art supplies, which Brown adorns with words of encouragement, asserting their worth in shaping a child’s potential.
The “Special Delivery” Pop-Up features interactive displays that demonstrate how Shipt enhances daily life. Visitors can participate in various engaging vignettes that showcase the brand’s relevance in real-life scenarios. The pop-up opens its doors on April 25, welcoming guests from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 216 Lafayette Street, Manhattan.
Accompanying the immersive experience are giveaways, including tote bags, free trial offers, and a chance to win an annual membership along with $500 in credits. The planning around this event reflects Shipt’s commitment to connecting with the community, particularly serving those in need.
With a deeper aim to unify families through shared experiences, the “No Order Is Ordinary” campaign sets out to redefine conventional perceptions of delivery services. By weaving personal stories and family moments into its messaging, Shipt strives to resonate with consumers on an emotional level, paving the way for a more meaningful shopping experience.
