The pop and R&B artist, who is currently on her Pretty Idea Tour, revealed that she has been advised to take weeks of vocal rest following a haemorrhage on her vocal fold. This news follows a follow-up appointment with an ear, nose, and throat specialist, during which it was confirmed that her condition had not improved significantly since an earlier check-up.

Addressing her fans, the 32-year-old expressed her deep disappointment and frustration. “I just came back from my follow-up appointment with the ENT regarding the haemorrhage on my vocal fold,” she shared. “Unfortunately, things have not healed enough since Monday’s check-up.” Mark explained that she is now required to adhere to a stringent vocal rest regimen in order to aid her recovery.
Hours before a scheduled performance at The Academy in Dublin, Mark’s announcement came as a sudden and heartbreaking disappointment for many fans who had made arrangements to attend her shows. “I’m devastated and honestly don’t know what to do with myself right now except cry,” she wrote. Mark extended her sincere apologies to anyone who had planned to see her perform, expressing her regret for disappointing them. “I was so excited to sing with you and meet you all,” she stated.
In her post, Mark reassured fans that all tickets for the cancelled performances would be automatically refunded. She also mentioned that discussions are already underway regarding potential rescheduling of the affected dates, promising her followers that she would return “better and stronger than ever.”
Mark’s Pretty Idea Tour kicked off on March 4 in Brooklyn, New York, and made its way through several U.S. cities including Philadelphia, Boston, and Los Angeles before heading to Europe. Following the EU leg, the artist was originally set to take a break to prepare for her performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago on July 30. She was also scheduled to perform in Montreal and Seattle shortly after, on July 31 and August 8, respectively.
As of now, Amber Mark has not commented on the status of her remaining North American tour dates, leaving fans uncertain about the future of those performances. However, her recent updates have indicated that she is focused on her recovery and regaining her voice.
Mark’s heartfelt message resonated with many, showcasing the emotional toll such an unexpected setback can take on an artist. Her commitment to her health and future performances remains clear, and her dedication to her fans is evident.
As she navigates this challenging time, Amber Mark’s sincere appeal for understanding highlights the importance of vocal health for performers. While she takes the necessary time to heal, her fans wait eagerly for her return to the stage, hopeful that she will soon share her music with them once again.
