Paul Pierce, the renowned NBA Hall of Famer, has confirmed he is the father of a newborn son, King Rafael, born in February to Princess Santiago. The 48-year-old former basketball star disclosed this information through a response to a parentage petition acquired by PEOPLE magazine.
Despite initially being requested to provide sole legal and physical custody of their son by Santiago, Pierce has filed for joint custody, aiming for equal involvement in King’s upbringing. In her filing, she sought sole legal and physical custody while allowing visitation rights for Pierce. Additionally, she solicited substantial child support payments totalling £29,811 per month, alongside requests for health insurance and a contribution towards her medical expenses during and post-pregnancy.
Paul Pierce’s basketball career spanned 19 seasons, during which he played primarily for the Boston Celtics from 1998 until 2013, before finishing with the Los Angeles Clippers between 2015 and 2017.
