The couple, who first met in high school, have navigated a long-distance relationship for the past seven years. Rodriguez reflected on this experience, stating, “You’re just growing and learning every day… It’s very important that you learn how to communicate.” At 23 years old, he believes that their commitment to each other is a crucial aspect of sustaining their relationship despite the physical separation. “We’re always going to be there for each other,” he added.
In conjunction with his preparation for the NFL, Rodriguez recently collaborated with USAA, the official Salute to Service Partner of the NFL, to honour America’s military alongside Emma. During a precious moment together, Rodriguez visited a local flight simulator where he had the chance to learn more about Emma’s demanding job. Now, with the NFL draft scheduled to take place in Pittsburgh on April 23, Rodriguez is feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as he anticipates his future in professional football. Projected as a potential second-round pick, he shared his lifelong aspiration of reaching this point. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was three years old,” he said, acknowledging the joy and fulfilment the journey has brought him.
