However, the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have exacerbated supply chain challenges, leading to an increase in the average age of planes in operation. Airlines often find that their narrowbody aircraft, such as the Boeing 737, can remain in service longer than wider models like the 767 due to operational efficiency. While narrowbodies can operate on short-haul routes with more frequency, older widebody models like the Boeing 767 face their own set of challenges.
Despite the perception that widebody aircraft are less economical, the Boeing 767 stands out as a viable option for airlines like Delta and United.
