Father Dies After Being Pulled from Bottom of L.A. Lake, 16-Year-Old Son Is Rescued

A tragic incident unfolded at Lincoln Park Lake in Los Angeles on Tuesday, 14 April, when emergency services were called to respond to multiple reports of individuals in distress in the water. Capt. Lyndsey Lantz, a spokesperson for the LAFD, confirmed to local news outlet The LA Local that the pair were presumed to have a father-son relationship. Following the incident, both individuals were taken to hospital; while the teenager was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening, the prognosis for his father remained dire.
