**Domestic Violence Investigations Conclude Without Charges for TV Star Taylor Frankie Paul**

Taylor Frankie Paul, a prominent figure from the reality series *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives*, has been cleared of pending domestic violence allegations following investigations by the Utah police. The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office announced on April 14 that no charges would be pursued against the 31-year-old after scrutinising two separate cases involving her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

In February of this year, two police departments in Utah began investigations into reported altercations between Paul and Mortensen, 33, with whom she shares a two-year-old son. The inquiries arose following a call from Mortensen’s friend to the Draper City Police Department, claiming that he had suffered domestic violence at Paul’s hands. Reports indicated that Mortensen described incidents involving physical aggression, including grabbing and shoving.

The district attorney’s office clarified that some of the accusations related to incidents that occurred over two years ago, which has limited their capacity to bring charges due to the statute of limitations. Additionally, they determined that the evidence available did not substantiate a case that would warrant criminal prosecution.

The outcome of these investigations will not alter Paul’s current probation status from an earlier arrest in 2023, when she faced charges for allegedly assaulting Mortensen in the presence of her child. During that incident, she was reported to have thrown metal chairs at him, an action that led her to plead guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault. Under this agreement, her charge could be dismissed if she adheres to specific conditions set by the court.

In February, the West Jordan Police Department launched its own investigation following Mortensen’s report, during which he provided video evidence that purportedly captured part of the disputed events. This footage has attracted considerable media attention and scrutiny, particularly after it was released to the public.

As these investigations evolved, Paul and Mortensen found themselves entangled in mutual protective order requests. On April 7, after a hearing, a judge granted Mortensen custody of their son, allowing for limited supervised visitation for Paul. This decision is intended to remain in effect until their next court appearance on April 30, where further discussions regarding their protective orders will take place.

The controversy surrounding Paul intensified following the release of the viral video, which prompted ABC to cancel the airing of her season of *The Bachelorette*, despite it being filmed and ready for broadcast. Furthermore, the fifth season of *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives* has paused production due to conflict between Paul and her co-stars, who have been reluctant to participate alongside her following the events of the past few months.

In response to the recent developments, Paul took to Instagram to express her gratitude, stating, “Cried when I got the call 🙏 THANK YOU to those that have stood with me,” beneath an image of flowers.
