Carole Gist, who made waves as the first Black winner of the Miss USA pageant in 1990, recently opened up about her challenging teenage years spent homeless. During an interview with 7 News Detroit on April 13, the now 56-year-old former beauty queen shared her journey of resilience, reflecting on her experiences while navigating the difficult circumstances of her youth.
