BTS’s RM has shared insights on the band’s potential future performances, revealing that member Jungkook almost had the opportunity to perform solo at the Super Bowl. During the video interview, RM, whose full name is Kim Namjoon, revealed that Jungkook had been invited to perform by Usher prior to his military enlistment. “Usher invited him before the military, but it didn’t work out because of the military,” RM explained, highlighting the impact of the mandatory service that both Jungkook and fellow bandmate Jimin began in December 2023.
The military service obligation in South Korea requires all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 28 to serve between 18 and 21 months.
