Langley candidly admitted that her bangs were the result of a misguided attempt at a DIY haircut. “I have a bad tendency to cut my own hair,” she explained to Von, reflecting on the various unsuccessful attempts she has made in the past. The decision to give herself a trim led to a rather unfortunate outcome, ultimately transforming her appearance in a way she described as life-changing.
The singer recalled a specific incident when she was getting ready to perform. After wearing a cowboy hat for much of the show, she decided to take it off due to the windy conditions. “I liked how my bangs were kind of around my face,” she noted, and in an impulsive moment just twenty minutes before stepping on stage, she tried to modify her fringe. “It was so bad,” she laughed, recounting how she ended up with one piece of hair sticking up awkwardly from the top of her head.

Langley said the incident led to a lighthearted exchange with her creative director, Caylee Robillard, who jokingly responded to the mishap by giving her the middle finger. Despite the chaos of the last-minute haircut, Langley embraced the new look and suggested they “full send it with the bangs.” She affirmed, “I don’t think I can ever change it. It changed my life a little bit, I would say.”
Fashion has been a recurring topic for Langley. Earlier this year, she expressed her delight at being named the face of American Eagle. In an interview, she fondly recalled her childhood memories of wearing bedazzled shorts made by her mother. “It was the first pair of denim I loved,” she reminisced.
When discussing her everyday style, Langley described it as relaxed and slightly outdoorsy, always prioritising comfort. Her typical outfit consists of jeans and a T-shirt, although she enjoys mixing vintage items with classic silhouettes to add some flair to her looks. “My style is confident, feminine, and powerful,” she remarked, underscoring her dedication to ensuring her fashion choices reflect her personality.
As she gears up for the release of her new album, “Dandelion,” on April 10, Langley is also preparing for her upcoming “Dandelion Tour,” which will run from May to August. Speaking to Audacy’s Superstar Power Hour, she shared her excitement about the new album and how it represents a significant step in her artistic journey.
“This record is exactly what I wanted out of it,” she stated, emphasising a newfound confidence following her recent breakthroughs in the music industry. Langley articulated that she is no longer “guessing” or “chasing” anything, suggesting that this latest release is a true reflection of her authentic self. “I feel like this is gonna be my record where everyone’s gonna be like, ‘That’s where the artistry clicked for her,’” she added, hinting at the personal and professional growth she has experienced.
With her distinctive bangs and relatable fashion sense, Ella Langley is undoubtedly making her mark in the country music scene, captivating audiences not only with her music but also with her genuine personality and unique style. Her journey from a “bad” haircut to a signature look serves as a charming reminder of the unpredictable nature of creativity and self-expression in the world of music.
