According to attorney Raymond Rafool, who represents Ramos, the decision to postpone the hearing was made to allow both parents to focus on what’s best for their daughters, rather than rushing into court to settle their affairs. The official filing confirms the couple’s separation and asserts that appointing both parents as joint managing conservators would serve the children’s best interests. The legal documents stipulate that Prescott and Ramos must jointly agree before either parent can relocate their daughters out of Texas. Moreover, the filing includes a request to maintain respectful communication between the two, prohibiting “vulgar, profane, obscene or indecent language.”
As discussions continue, Ramos’s attorney expressed confidence in both parties’ willingness to collaborate for their children’s sake. He elaborated, stating, “Sarah Jane has consistently prioritised being a mother above all else.” Prescott’s attorney echoed this sentiment, affirming that Prescott is eager to foster a positive co-parenting dynamic and that he is committed to being a dedicated father to their daughters.
While this initial hearing has been postponed, legal documents indicate that a follow-up session is scheduled for April 16. During this upcoming meeting, both parents are required to present evidence of their financial capability to provide for the children, which will be reviewed by the court.
