Jack Black is the latest addition to an exclusive group of entertainers known as the Five-Timers Club, having hosted *Saturday Night Live* (SNL) for the fifth time on April 4, 2026. The terminology was established by Tom Hanks in a sketch during his fifth hosting appearance in 1990, and this prestigious fraternity now boasts 27 members.
The Five-Timers Club originated from a light-hearted sketch on SNL, however, it has since evolved into a hallmark of achievement for comedic talent. To gain entry, hosts must successfully appear on the show five times or more, with several members now earning additional accolades for their contributions to the show’s legacy.
